A proposed fast-track immigration route to be implemented later this year may abolish the cap on numbers eligible for the current Tier 1 Exceptional Talent visa, and will be designed to attract elite researchers and specialists in science engineering and technology.

The Home Office has advised that changes to salary levels for certain roles in the teaching, tax, scientific, legal and architectural sectors, implemented in March 2019, were incorrect and should in fact have been lower.
